Antoine Peters is currently a Group Leader at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research in Basel. Research in his lab is aimed at obtaining a molecular understanding of the role of distinct epigenetic pathways in the control of gene regulation and lineage specification in pre-implantation embryos. In particular, they are investigating the transmission of maternal and paternal contributions of certain epigenetic modifiers that affect gene expression  and cell fate decisions in the early embryo. In  2008, he was the recipient of an EMBO Young Investigator Award.
